It Started With a Road We Knew By Heart
Dorjee Tours and Travels was born in Tenga, Singchung — a small town on the great mountain highway that climbs from the Assam plains through Bomdila and Dirang, over Sela Pass, to Tawang. We grew up watching travellers pass through our valley and realised they were seeing the road, but missing the place.
So we started doing what locals do best: driving guests ourselves, booking rooms in homes we trust, timing trips around festivals we celebrate, and handling the permits that confuse first-time visitors. Today we run complete tours across all seven Northeast states — but every journey still begins with that same local promise.
Our mission: to make Northeast India easy, safe and unforgettable — while keeping tourism money in local hands: our drivers, our homestays, our villages.
